What is B Corp™ Certification for IT Companies?

B Corp™ (Certified B Corporation) is an international certification that assesses a company’s overall impact on society and the environment.

Unlike traditional certifications that measure the quality of a product or service, B Corp™ measures the impact of the company itself.

Issued by B Lab (an independent, non-profit organization), the certification evaluates 200 criteria across 5 pillars:

Governance – Mission, ethics, transparency, decision-making
Workers – Well-being, equity, development, inclusion
Community – Local impact, diversity, value chain
Environment – Carbon footprint, resource management
Customers – Ethics, transparency, quality of service

To be certified, a company must:

Achieve at least 80/100 points
Amend its legal statutes to formally commit to considering all stakeholders
Make its results public
Re-certify every 3 years
