At 5th floor, we believe that access to information and digital services should be available to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or the tools used.

Although the website http://www.5thfloor.be is not subject to a legal obligation regarding accessibility, we have chosen to publish this statement as a commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). It reflects our mission: to design useful, sustainable, and accessible digital solutions for all.

This page outlines our level of compliance, the actions already implemented, and planned improvements.

Level of compliance

The 5th Floor website has been completely redesigned, incorporating accessibility best practices from the outset. A self-assessment was conducted by our UX team.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define three levels of compliance: A, AA, and AAA.

Our site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 – Level AA, due to the areas for improvement listed below.

Evaluation results

To date:

• The site structure adheres to best semantic practices (headings, lists, link labels).
• Color contrasts are consistent for most elements.
• The site is keyboard navigable and compatible with screen readers (tested with NVDA and VoiceOver).
• Some visual content does not yet have complete alternative text.
• Interactive components (forms, menus) are undergoing continuous optimization.

Content not fully accessible

The following features are not yet fully accessible:

• Some decorative images lack appropriate alt attributes.
• The language selector needs improvements for smooth keyboard navigation.
• The contrast of some secondary icons needs to be increased.
